Hi
The majority of C&C Clubs sites have children's play areas
with swings and things.
You can always be sure you will have a good pitch with plenty of room, and first class facilities,
The 2300 to 0700 quite time is kept,
Price wise they are very reasonable especially for us older campers and the family deals,
And most of all been a member gives you access to hundreds of certified sites around the UK, some site a family of four can stay for £4 a night for a basic pitch or around £10to£12 for a shower and toilet facilities and all these site are checked by the club to make sure they are kept to a certain standard.
As for large tents If they have a pitch that will fit your tent then they will accept it at no extra cost,
If there is one sure thing for campers in tents today who require good reasonably priced guaranteed clean sites then you should be a member of the C&C Club.
Rex.

Going on my first trip to c&cc site next week - Clitheroe. Will post how I get on. Must admit the CS appeal to me.
Clitheroe C&CC is a lovely site - have a good time xx
well i dont see that it can hurt goining for a year for £35.00 and see how we get on, its difficult for me and hubby to get the timing right for trips as i work every weekend and he works in the week but im sure we will get enough trips to make our money back, and i have asked father christmas for a minnesota 4 as we dont need montanna if the girls dont come ................ im feeling rich today so i am off to goin
P.S does anyone know if they have sites in Germany?

oooooo that was close, i was gust about to goin C&CC and i thought Gill that would be stupid as we are not going away anymore after sept and all our trips are booked and paid for so i would therefore be paying for 5 months and not using them ................ hold your horses gilly wait till feb - march 09 lol

membership runs for the year, eg from june to june, spetember to september etc - sure...as ours expires every july. si even if you join now you won't lose
we only use the C&CC sites. Our Tt is largish 6.7Mx 4.5M and we have no trouble with pitches. on our last occasion though the camp warden did ask if we would peel back one of groundsheets so the grass could see some light. his wife also pointed out that you can get breathable groundsheets.....
we like the quiet and the fact there will be no drunks etc. our kids are 12,9 and 6 and they get a bit more freedom than they would at home.
what i meant with the year thing is if i goin now it runs out in aug and there is still time to go away so if we are members we may aswell use it however if we dont like C&CC the membership runs out feb march time and we wont be camping then anywayso we will have had the best for our money. if we do like it it doesnt matter when we goin!!!
hope you get my point as that is very confusing isnt it!!!!! lol

I particularly like the fact that children 6 & under are free, most non-club sites charge for children from 3 or 4 onwards. In low season all children under 16 are free. For the last 3 years I've camped with my 2 young children and only paid for me. My daughter's now 7 so I've told her it comes out of her pocket-money (only kidding!!!!!).
Someone asked about young children playing - yours sound like mine, happy to amuse themselves and use their imagination. Mine don't shriek or race about but play happily and enjoy being in the outdoors. I've never yet been tutted at, most of the time, there have been other families or older couples who all smile and also enjoy watching children play.

to be honest we camp for about £20 a night includng electric - thats a family deal for 5. if we had to use B&B it would be at least £50 upwards as most places would make us take 2 rooms. i don't mind the years membership at all - we alwasy seem to have a good time, but the club does seem biased towards caravans - the pitches do seem to be better - anyone else noticed?
We joined last month. I've been looking through their book but not found a site in the location I want ie close enough to walk to the sea in south devon. However, we've been getting 5% discount in Towsure by showing our membership cards so that a bonus.
5% discount at towsure well its worth goining for that .............. i could lend my membership card to santa and he can get £11.00 off my minnesota 4
goking apart though the discounts do look good (we planning 2 weeks in germany next year) and we can save on the ferry and everybody seems to highly praise the sites so i think we will go for it ......we are hoping to start camping in march next year so i can get some sites booked.

I have just booked up for 3 nights at Kingsbury Water Park with my Girlfriend. It cost me £23 a night as we are not C&CC members, but i was told that when i arrive on the day and pay the rest of the money i can join up and save a bit of cash.As it's our first trip away under canvas we thought it might be best to see how we both get on before joining.
