as it turned out we didnt get as much wind as expected, though there were a few strong gusts.
ground was soft but not muddy when we arrived - the new pegs look great was actually difficult to get them in the ground - obviously a little too firm for them.
none of the pegs budged at all during our stay but am confident a normal steel peg would have slipped..
could i suggest the final model has a more 'knife edge' to the blades to make them a little easier to get in the ground - keeeping the wide profile to give greater resistance needed in softer ground.
Thanks Andy, I will bear all this in mind. Glad they worked to an extent though.

oh yeah they are fantastic, i just dont think i was able to test them under the circumstances they are designed for, but like the original deltas they were rock solid in the ground, i'll definitely buy a few more when they are available
Camped at Pentraeth Anglesey in 2007 and the wind speed hit 48 mph according to local farmer with his own mini weather station. The monty 6 held up well although some other tents were trashed. Its all about pegging and guying, get it right and gales should not bother a decent tent. Storms are a differant matter though. Uniblue

Soft mud won't hold even Deltas in a high wind and neither will sandy soil.
If a few people want to try our sand/mud pegs for free then get in touch. They are bulky but I do believe they work. 1 set of 4 for each of the first 4 applicants.
rob.. we are off to eweleaze on monday. Our first chance to try out the mud pegs you so kindly sent last year.
the weather forecast suggests it will be a severe test! :(
