I like the idea of herbs available. We stayed in a lodge a couple of years back and they grew herbs around the decking. It was lovely.

I might be wrong but can't you get willow fences with planting tubs attatched. I know you don't want to wait for things to grow but herbs don't take toolong and if you use mint it will really spread well.

where is this site? i would like to vist! im of to scotland next year and like a quiet site. also the wind will be a good test of our tent!! the weather dont bother me.

i would say on the to campers that you need to bring?use good tnet pegs! i use the one made from "10in nails" they goin any ground, maybe tarmac!!

Steve. I've looked at the willow fence panels and they are much better than the artificial fencing we were considering.

Knightwarrior, I think your idea combined with the suggestion put forward by Merry is the way to go.

That is a north country saying of a thin person I believe

Back in my shooting days we used willow hurdles very successfully as windbreakers and you can then add other climbing plants for cosmetic appearance including willow wands pushed into the ground to train and grow through the fence to make it very strong and by the time the fence as reached its end you will have a willow edge.
