I swear by Piriton and indeed they are the only thing we carry in the caravan for Midges.

Midgeaters are beginning to make their mark in Scotland as more and more toursit centres start to use them.
I have even seen private houses installing them in quite small gardens.

At the moment I would rather be away in the van than sitting in my garden but should that change in the futute, I would not be averse to installing one myself.

At the last count, the Walled Garden CP at Maybole had 16 Midgeaters. I doubt if there is a single Midge left to fly around the Maybole Area

Well my hubby gets eaten alive you can see them hovering around his head and to make matters worse each bite swells like a tennis ball - Summer for him is a combination of infected bites and severe hay fever.  Nothing has ever worked for him but last year I checked out the Which report on it and they basically said that taking the Vit B supplements or food with a high concentrate of this to come through the skin was pretty ineffective.  Their top best buy was the Boots own repellent spray and roll ons, and they did work mossies still tried to land on him but didnt hang around for long - only places he got bitten in were in places like hands and toes where the spray may have rubbed off - personally I hate these deet sprays as they stink and feel disgusting on but for him they are absolutely essential.

Im tempted to try the Avon skin so soft for myself as I only get the odd bite here and there and it may work for me but I doubt very much it would work on OH.
