Trevayne Farm is a favourite of ours. The only problem we find is it's so popular that its difficult to get in once the summer school hols start. SSSsshhhhh!!! Don't tell everyone!!
we went to Nant Y Croi last year on the coast of wales in ceridigion. Beautiful and wasn't that bad weather wise. Dolphins off the coast make it a wicked holiday :)
we have stayed at trevayne also, it is a nice site but as said if the wind is up it is quite exposed, also no play area for the kids and found the shower block to be quite cold as it only has 3 walls (no the other one hasn't fallen down, this is the design of it). lovely in the summer but a little chilly on those spring/autumn evenings and cold mornings, especially for the little ones. linney2008 did you hear anything back from Well Park ?
------------- fresh air, lager and no work. who could want more?
I'm hoping to book up at Trevayne. The coastal view looks awesome. I was going to to go at Easter, but have decided on a long weekend end of June / beginning of July.
As a newbie, I am hoping the weather (wind) might be a little more settled and that the site may be a bit quieter than a bank holiday so I can pitch up against the hedge for a little bit more windproofing!
I will be going on at test weekend first in the Forest of Dean to make sure I have no nasty suprises when I go further afield.
Hi Mike, Welcome to the ukcampsite. I've used it lots of times over the years, there's a mine of information from equipment to campsite reviews. If you need help with anything you only need to post a question and you'll get lots of help. I got lots of helpful advice on how to lay a patio!!
Trevayne is breezy in the wind, the hedge is more sheltered. The price you have to pay for a view I suppose. Fab for Kite's! Beach is out of this world and hardly anyone on it. My family are convinced that the mens showers are a lot warmer .... or this could just be wishful thinking!! There are enclosed shower blocks in the toilet blocks by the caravans. Only one in each block though.
I've been to Christchurch in the forest of Dean, also a lovely campsite ... and sheltered!!
no probs, hope you enjoy. we`ll be there from good friday to the tuesday if you see us come say hello. we`ll be the ones in the vango aspen chilling out with a lager for him and a wine for her.

Haha ok! We'll be the ones sleeping in the car cos we cant get the bl**dy tent up! (but hopefully will have by the time you get there as we are going on the monday 6th)
Next to Trevayne farm is Rowston and it is one of our favourite campsites. The campsite has a good kids play area and a walk through the woods to the beach.
------------- I'm not a complete idiot, Some parts are missing!
I'm sure that you will enjoy Well Park, Linny, it was tough choosing between the sites once I decided to stay near Tenby.
It now looks like i'll be taking the tent to Samois sur Seine (nr Paris) the weekend I had planned to go to Trevayne Farm in June, for the Django Reinhardt (Gypsy Jazz) festival. My Dad wanted to go last year, and is pestering me to go this year.
I guess i'll just have to bring the trip to the Pembroke cost forward a month and get some of those Delta pegs to stop the tent blowing away.
