Wayne I have been keeping a close eye on these Quechua tents and hold tight as they look as though they are unveiling some new models in March (see the quechua website) so you may find the new ones are bigger (I heard they plan a larger pop up base.)Also the prices of the older models may go down (should I have said that...??!!)
Funnily enough I was going to scoot down to the Surrey Keys branch tonight to eyeball the seconds base but I need to keep an eye on the pennies! I am after two green base seconds (not full) with the velcro groundsheets. Plan to use one for sleeping (will buy the clip in bedroom) and then the other for dining/storage.
------------- 2011-
Dec/Jan -Cornwall nr Padstow (cottage)
Feb - our garden (tent)
March - Llangollen (cottage)
March -Town Farm, Bucks.
April - garden..again..need to get out more...
May - Acoustic Festival of Britain Uttoxeter
The way the weather is going, i wont be needing the tent for a while yet.
Plenty on e bay but most have hiked the price up by quite a bit. I'm hoping to buy 1 x base full, i base and 2 2 seconds. So an extra £10 or £15 on each soon adds up. Decathlon are doing mail order this year but god knows when this year.

The tents in Surrey Keys aren't out on display yet, just stacked on the shelf so you can't see them erected before buying. Maybe later in the season???
aha so you are also checking online!! I would of course request a charming young man to open up the tent and demonstrate it as I wouldn't buy without seeing it (but pretty convinced that for a weekend set up for me and child this would be great.) I may still go tomorrow to Surrey Quays to look at the shop for other stuff. By the way can't believe I wrote 'Keys' instead of Quays!!

.........and I stupidly copied you!!
I'd be interested to hear how you get on with your request for them to demonstrate it for you. We went a couple of weeks ago on a busy Saturday and I don't think there would have been room to do it. I think they must remove one of the isles if they do display them in summer. I just bought one anyway, great fun bringing it home on the tube. I put in up in my husbands office that afternoon to check that it was OK - loved it. I think having two would be an ideal set up for two people, not just for weekends but for full holidays.
