I think the solution to the springer tangle question might be separate spikes with just enough lead for them to meet head to head(any longer than that will result in tangles) Also invest in some spikes with a rotating clip..this lets the dog roam in a 190 degree circle without too many snags on the spike...One other tip..dont just bang the spike in a few turns..Place a peice of wood in the triangular hole at the top and screw the spike into the ground(rather like you would a screw into some wood) The more boistrous and energetic the dog..the deeper the spike goes.....

We take a dog cage so our doggies feel comfy at night but they very often finish up in our sleeping bags. Windbreaks help keep Rhona quiet as she barks at anyone she sees and we got a couple of those corkscrew things so they could be outside. if you have 2 dogs you might want to put the corkscrews far apart so they don't strangle each other!
