we have just returned from trying out our e.bay bargain a montana 8 at conkers campsite south derbyshire. weather changable, used a gas heater-maxim outdoor portable - 1 £1.50 cannister lasted 4hrs. Using any heating will increase condensation so make sure you air you tent well every day. We are fairly new campers and didnt realise this until we came to put our  tent down and couldnt get rid of the condensation.        

this is our second tent and we where very impressed with how easy it was to put up.We put a large tarpauline under it to try to keep underneath clean. It worked and the little slugs we attracted were easier to remove!I dont know if we could buy a footprint for our tents- any one else know?

One gripe I have with the tent was that the skirt barely touched the ground so rain didnt clear away from the underpart. We had pushed the poles together well so we dont know what else we could do.Any ideas anyone?

I would never have gone camping but for my daughter "making"me! Now I love the whole bit, wind, rain, oh yes and sunshine!

Hi Guys

New to camping this summer, I have booked a week away in Devon and selected a pitch with Electric and water, can anyone suggest what heating is best.

I thought of taking 2 small fan heaters with us as i will have electric into the tent, what do you experienced campers use??

Also been looking at buying a Campingaz 2 stove with grill, buy new off ebay £44 is this reasonable and how good are they. We may be a wee bit wet behind the ears but we cant wait.

We have booked a 2 night stay at a hoseasons camp about 90 mins drive away north of us next month , will use this as a test drive and also will be practice putting the tent up in the garden. Any other advice for the test trip?
