The tent wasn't obviously smelly when we packed it up...

but i'm sure it will be a bit 'smokey' next time it comes out

Few downpours and it will be fine though

I was more concerned about the blummin terradactyl that kept sh*teing on my roof!

terradactyl

Lol

I am sure it wasn't THAT big.  Was talking to my boss today about pitching by hedges - apparently its more likely a bird will poop on your roof by a hedge...

Camped since 2008 and still loving it!

That looks great fun, especially for the dogs nose....all those delicious smells. If i was camping next to you,i would be like your dog,and be unable to resist sticking my nose over to have a look at that wonderful set up and have a smell of all those delicious cooking aromas.

There was a woman who used to walk past every night and ask us what was cooking...she said the kids used to come running back with reports as to what we were eating!

She asked us to hide the pancakes though as that would have caused serious whinging from the kids!

I use to do that with my mum If i so much as heard a packet of crisps being opened,i'd run to my mum '' mum! mum! They're having..... can we get some from the shop?! ''

Fantastic! Where did you get your tripod or did you make it? Im going back to the Orchards in the summer and this looks a much better set up than me balancing the pan in the fire. Id love something like that to hang a cauldron from.

Of course I can handle it...I have children

I am interested in the answer to this one as well, as we are booked in to the Orchards this summer as well. Although I am at the moment contemplating raiding the loft in the Scout and Guide Hut to see what there is to borrow!

Made the tripod, was too expensive to buy one!

Well it is a little bit packed in the car...

Tripod takes no room though, just goes down the side of the windbreak bag

it takes about 5 minutes to make!  The eye hooks (about 6 inch long) just sit in the hollow poles, they're not secured to the poles in any way

Just put a hook through the 3 eyes and the chain.  The weight of the pot on the chain keeps the tripod stable
