A Camper and travel around the whole of the UK for as long as it takes. Then buy a field large enough for you all to pitch for free as everyone on this web Site makes me laugh and I know we're all like minded folk (tent mad, very sad, a little bit silly, very friendly). All pitches would be snooker table flat, damp proof and sheltered from the wind, then of course there'd be free wine & beer and the best adventure playground for the kids. Have I missed anything essential ? (Enough clean loo's/showers for a private one each maybe).
------------- Why yearn for tomorrow when you can have chocolate today.
I'm very satisfied with my set up already , but if I had a garage I'd probably get a huge trailer tent or folding camper so everything could be stored inside it , with a massive awning and a chauffer to take me wherever I wanted to go, as hubby hates towing.
I'd still have a Khyam, but get the new one that's got a SIG as we'd have a bigger house and car and wouldn't have the struggle of getting it in the loft (we have to keep the inner, groundsheet and poles separate or we couldn't get the damn thing up the ladder all in one go). And I'd get the annexe for it.
BUT ... I'd also have a smallish camper van and awning for quick spur of the moment short trips, or overnight stops at parties, and for festivals, and a Quecha or similar for overnight stop-offs on long journeys with the Khyam, and a narrowboat for when we fancied doing something different. And I'd get a Trangia stove or two. And lots more dogs, mostly whippets probably.

If Carlsberg did campsites???
------------- Due to the current economic crisis, the light at the end of the tunnel has been turned off until further notice.

err excuse me get your eyes off my tent!!!

Good grief.
I've heard of semi-geodesic tents; I've heard of geodesic tents; but a tent with that many nodes requires a descriptive term all of its own.
I love my set up of bongo campervan and drive away awning. We have the fun of camping but sometimes disappear for the day/overnight using the campervan facilities whilst leaving all our "extra" stuff back at base. Also great to use van only during the winter. If money were no object I would like a "slightly" bigger campervan so we could have a fixed toilet instead of portapotti that gets kept outside van (for overnight use). I wouldn't go down the bigger motorhome route though, had one a few years ago and too big to be mobile!
I would have one of those magic tents that, on opening the very small bag, sets itself up, with bedrooms fully furnished, kitchen in place with food already stacked, and a sofa waiting for me with a glass of wine ready chilled.......
And dont say it's a caravan, I still want the tent experience.......
What do you mean they dont exist?? was that just in my dreams?? Oh well....
