Well packing the car doesn't take us very long at all - about 15mins. But then its just us (so thats only a rucksack each for clothes - It's all the dogs gear that takes the most time!! But all our gear is already packed and kept together in the spare room!

However - pitching is a different matter!!! The tent goes up in about 20-30mins once OH has decided he has it pegged out (and moved it a couple of times to make sure it is over the groundsheet properly). Then this time we bought the Iowa Extension and we hadn't put it up before - well took it out the bag and was totally confused! Eventually got that up - makes sense once you've done it once! Then unpack all the gear - then decide if OH wants windbreaks or not - trys to put one up (one of LIDL ones) decides it doesn't work and takes it down again vowing to bin it and buy a stripey bash in the ground one instead! Then eventually sit down and relax. All in all about 4 hrs of faffing but gave the others a good laugh I'm sure!

Packing away wasn't so bad although our tent looked more like an inflattable when we tried to pack it away and we were spralled on top of it trying to get the air out - still great weekend away!!

Much prefer the outward journey as everything seems to be quicker - loathe the homeward journey" just one more cup of tea before we pack up" - lol

Probably takes us an hour to get everything out of secret storage places and packed into the car.
