Millets has this things (v tech I know17) that you hang in your tent and they attract flies which then get stuck to it and die. Haven't tried it yet but it's packed ready for our next trip in France.

That sounds like old fashioned fly paper!  Providing it doesn't touch your tent it cannot do it any damage (and is harmless to children & pets unless they eat it of course...).

The stuff I've seen comes in little cardboard tubes, you pull out a spiral of sticky paper and hang it up from the end with the tube weighing the other end down.  You can get this from old-fashioned hardware shops, or some supermarkets, for a few pennies.

Ive been on millets website and amazon too. Will go round poundshops this weekend. I have been looking at other tents i dont really want to get rid seeing that its never been used, but i hate crawlie thingys and especially SPIDERS. Ive got loads of citronella candles, in our local b and m there is a small fly killer for 3.99 was thinking about that till it said that it attracts them and then kills them URGH dont really want any attraction going on in my tent thanks. Ive also thought about 2 telescopic poles and stick them in the ground over the door and then hang on the mossie net lol or am i being too bear grylls.
