We use it with a good rechargeable lantern which has remote control - handy for getting up in pitch black to attend to one of the boys.

Also handy for when you come back from the pub in the dark. You can lght up your tent before you get to it, which saves lots of fiddling with zips in the pitch black and falling over things.

We have a Coleman Northstar lantern which lights the tent really well and is enough to read by when it's hung from the dome centre sunroof in our Matrix x9. It uses the Coleman gas cannisters(same as our heater and cooker) which have been on BOGOF so we bought a truck load.

We also use an ancient Halfords re-chargeable lantern which Ideal for reading in the bedrooms. Charge lasts about 5 hours so does nicely for a weekend trip. We also bought some wind up torches which are fine for late night toilet trips, but are a pain to read by as the light is continually dimming and having to be rewound.
