Are they comfortable? And my husband is quite tall (6' 2'') and of a large (Ish) frame, do you think he would be comfortable in it? Do you have a double or single bed?
We have campbeds but put boxed airbeds on top, normal height bed and really comfy, plus space to store stuff underneath - all's good

Just reserved for collection Areobed from Argos, as they seems to be highly praised here, certainly nobody has complained they didnt like it. The plastic takes another hit. Will be trying it out Tuesday night cant wait! hope the heavy rain has long gone thinking about poor folks that are away this weekend. It has been Heavy rain and wind since late afternoon, and forecast for same all though till tomorrow mid-day.

Being new to all this we just got an airbed today (have not got the tent yet) and now I have seen you all talking about the Aerobed I wish I had got one of them instead, fingers crossed we will sleep ok on or bog standard airbed lol.
Another aerobed cutomer here. The kids tho have to 'slum' it on Tescos own!! BUt will replace with aerobeds ( though hopefully not all at the same time!)
------------- It always rains on tents. Rainstorms will travel thousands of miles, against prevailing winds for the opportunity to rain on a tent.
We've just spent a week away camping and I slept like a log!!
We haven't been camping for about 12 years, so after looking through suggestions on here we slept on a bog standard air bed with a roll mat underneath. We put a blanket on the air bed and then a fitted sheet over that. Then slept in an outwell sleeping bag!
Heaven!!
I haven't slept that well in a long time! I realise it sounds a lot but it was sooo comfortable!
.....Hubby did complain that I'd filled the van with all our other gear!!
We have a Coleman Double Comfort air bed. It looks simlar to a regular cheapy mattress, but that is where the similarity ends. It is extremely comfortable. It has twin air chambers so you don't bounce about like a pea on a drum, and it is much more supportive. It is not as high off the ground as some, so will fit into a smaller bedroom pod more easily.
Another vote for Fat Airics... Roll em out, undo the nozzle, add a few gulps of air in to ensure it's fully inflated, join together with a Thermal rest coupling, encas in a modified duvet covet, lay out sleeping bag and pillows. Done.
