Me and my brats are in Dorset last two weeks in August and we think we could have very good weather looking at long range forecasts, just as long as it isn`t like last year, when we came home early, wet through
we have just booked a week for 1st August at warcombe farm, mortoe. having read the reviews good site , but (always a but isn't there ) says can be very windy site.... every time we put our stuff up its been rainy and windy. So now i'm gonna be nervous cos i know its gonna be same old again.. fingers crossed this time can't be bad every time surely.
I've used every weather forecast site on the net, tv, local paper, I've come to the conclusion that it is impossible to forecast British weather. I am currently trying seaweed, tea leaves and pine cones. I still have no idea. Pack everything.
We will be camping on the weekend of 8th August in Great Yarmouth. History shows that this will mean in the Great Yarmouth area on the 8th August it will be mostly rain! You can't say I didn't warn you! :-)

Did you enjoy Clitheroe Moog 56?
Yes, very much, it's fairly local to me so have been often. It's a C&CC site. The local area is lovely around Pendle. Nice bolt hole for us to get away from the city hoo-ha.
No Netleythorn don't say that. We will be just up the road from you for two weeks starting on the 8th. Mind you we always get bad weather when we go away and I mean always lol
My daughter was born on 2nd August 2004 - there was a heatwave that August and we've held bbq parties every year since then and only one was half decent in 2005 - from then on its rained pretty solidly through August until 1st week in Sept - because of this we are off to France (just watch the sun shine this August now)
"There is increasing confidence that this period will see a return to some warmer and more settled summer weather.
We expect the Azores high to build northwards and become more dominant. This will result in above-average levels of sunshine for the time of year and a rise in temperatures.
There is still a possibility of some further rainfall at times but it should be much drier than of late."
I always find the BBC montly outlook is pretty good....been waiting for that one to come out ( and a promising one it is too ! )...don't know how I missed it. Thanks for the link.
