I go to bude regular and it always tend to be slow at Bristol (usually as soon as you get to the RAC control centre), but only ever had real delays once and that was a bank holiday
I'm sure you'll be fine, it's usually pretty clear
I did once go thru bristol to avoid the m5 bottleneck, don't bother. Took hours!!!!!!!!!!!!!
hi there, we're off to south devon on monday the 28th, then over to coombe martin, the following week, i'm sure you'll be fine, we allways try for the monday as the holiday start as to avoid some traffic, because with four kids, you want the journey to be as smooth as possible, happy camping, gary and claire
We did little meadow a couple of weeks ago, wonderful campsite with outstanding views, I came off the M5 and took the scenic A39 route so me OH could see Dunster castle. Porlock hill the hard way going up and then through Lynton/Lynmouth, an area she had never seen before. As it was not in school hols had no delays at all and worth doing another time when not peak times.
PS while you are at little meadow, if you get great weather try the tunnel beaches at ilfracombe, great place to picnic and swim.
Bristol can be a pain at anytime of the day, I think it's the luck of the draw.
I left North Devon last saturday morning and drove to Bradford, bought a new car and drove home in just over 13 hours. I covered about 640 miles that day with a few stops.
