Good idea, however, as one of the joys of camping for me is cooking/BBQing and eating outdoors, it is unlikely I would eat out or purchase ready meals.

I know of a travelling chippies, so why not a mobile carvery.

Good luck with your venture.

Out of season you could always go onto the markets/car boots etc I think that would go down a treat.

Not a bad idea in principal but................................

Most sites that you would probably target are usually within a few miles of a supermarket that sells rottiserie chickens or cooked chickens in the chilled cabinet.

We have bought rottiserie chickens and tins of spuds and veg and warmed the chicken back up in gravy in one pan and all the veg in another pan, you can do all that on two rings of a cooker for about £7 - £8 for a family of 4.

Pricing will be the key for the venture, you will need to be able to knock em out for about £3 - £4 per meal to make folk want them.

Personally i probably wouldnt buy a carvery from a van, i would prefer to go to the pub and have a pint of real ale with my dinner.

Health and safety, cleanliness and food hygene need to be taken into account too, you wouldnt want some of the pikeys i have seen camping to touch your utensils !

Best of luck with it if you decide to go ahead though.

Thank you, never though of that, I do frozen roast taters in a fry pan. Sounds like a good idea to have a Sunday roast van, would be liking that!
