At Badrallach recently, we were on one of the pitches where you could park your car, and parked the Landie between us and the little site road, as a windbreak.
The pitch next to us contained a VW Campervan, so he didn't take up much of his pitch at all.
Some ignorant woman camped on the other side of the site, where you couldn't take your car, and decided she would just park in between us, and halfway into the unmown meadow too. It was quite funny, though, that she insisted on locking and alarming her car on every trip to her tent while unpacking.
I think my pet hate, though, must be bits of food in the washing-up sinks.

We stayed at a campsite in clacton, last year, it was very commercial site, i picked it for the kids mainly, clubhouse, swimming pool etc, when we arrived we were told to pitch wherever, it was packed, we found a pitch, dusty, hardly any grass, full of fags ends, still we carried on, while we were pitching, a group of teenagers stood staring at us drinking cans of beer, watching everything we put in our tent, this was very worrying. after we were all done, and put anything of value in the car, we went for a walk, we past the teenagers with the cans, they were sat on a 4X4 with the biggest speakers i had ever seen, blaring out "boom boom" music, luckly they were not near us. but next to us was a family who spent the whole time screaming and shouting at each other. i know camping is a free for all, but i think that some people spoil it for others. I would not pick another commercial site like that again. as to why we have picked to go to a Forest Site this time. I really enjoy camping and try to make the best ot it.

We have just done 3 nights on a large commercial site and the only problem we had was some young lads playing cricket near us and the ball hit our tent a couple of times and then actually went into our tent, one lad approached and asked if he could get it, I gave him the hard stare and said no, I then quickly smiled and invited him to retreive his ball, they didn't play for long so not really a problem, the other weekend we camped on a 'quiet' site and although there was loads of room, a couple pitched right next to our tent, they were that close they couldn't guy the tent properly because of our car, they then proceeded to have a BBQ directly onto the grass which obviously burnt it, we were woken at 05:00 am with there laughing and giggling, I presume they were new to camping, meanwhile all weekend we had the big family group with the thud of the bass going all day and well past midnight, it's just pot luck whether you have an enjoyable break or not.
