i have made one to go on it - nightmare of a job as there is nowhere to fix it to but i have made a bracket as i didn't want to tow without one. Apparently if the chassis was made before 1998 you dont need one but better safe than sorry - i should imagine you would need a new back end of the car if it did ever come unhitched with the chain attached!!

Understood re pre-1998.

My trailer is a traditional slatted wooden jobbie...... I have considered a total rebuild at some point utilising the same chassis (box section T-frame, with mounting plates for indepsension units.

I have to say, I really like yours.  What have you made the panels from? and what is the unladen weight?

I presume hinged top - and waterproof?

It does look like it has been constructed to high standards (unlike some of the DIY jobs you see being dragged around!)

Thank you!

The panels are made from 18mm ply.  The base is 160 thou aluminum. The corners are the same ali and the lid is hinged and made from sheet steel folded on the edges and folded double along the hinged edges to stiffen.  The sides are painted metalic white and the rest is lilac flip!

Nice job 17. Make sure you chain it up well when parked, looks quite cute, might get the light fingered brigade pick it up & put it in the back of a larger vehicle to re-home it if not tethered.

Maybe a new thread should be started, "upload your trailer pics"  there must be loads of variations & adaptions out there.
