I have always left my freezer blocks in the on site freezers with no problems. They are labeled and put in a carrier bag as well. But this last time in the Lake District I had a bag of 6 disappear completely. Thought maybe someone had taken them by mistake and will re-appear but they never did . Dug down in the bottom of the freezer and found some that looked like they had been there for weeks, frozen solid and buried in ice and used them until the next day when my blocks were frozen again. It was very strange as I was tying them up in a bag and every time we fetched them they were out the bag and all over the freezer. One time I tied them in in the bag with a large shoelace (like a parcel) and the shoe lace & the bag disappeared and the blocks were still there

Fforest Fields - August 2011
I have used freezers to refreeze blocks a couple of times witout a problem. Did it in may and noticed a fair bit of food in the freezer. Day before we went new neighbours pulled in, and chatting to the lady, she said that they always bought a pile of food with them and put it in the freezer - they went to the site every year.
I must admit it is nice to have access to fridge and freezer. So I have somewhere to freeze my blocks or bottled water. and some where to put my perishables.
I did not have any problems with items going awol. The only thing I need to do. Is to remember to take them home.
I noticed Ice Lollies in the freezer where we last stopped, and thought it was a good idea, I really wouldn't worry about someone nicking a few quids worth of lollies, but I would hope they wouldn't.
I think campers are generally a very honest bunch.
I once stayed on a site where there was a washing machine and tumble drier for use on an "honesty box" basis, and eggs for sale too. Not only did everyone pay, but the jar of money never got pinched. It was in a sort of glazed lean-to, and they had tomatoes growing in there, with a sign inviting you to help yourself. People always paid for those too.
There were chickens roaming the camping field, and the lady running the site told me that people often brought her eggs they'd found, rather than just have them for their breakfast!
Use camp fridges and freezers often without problems. In fact, at the last campstie we stayed at we were the only ones to put our things in marked bags...nobody else did...so I felt a bit precious actually !!.....
