Best place for a good nosey...is on a meet..Think about it...you get there...meet some new friends(at the get togethers) your kids play with their kids...your wife/husband gets friendly with your near neighbours...Heigh Ho...a ready made "In" for all you lot who like a wandering nosey...Not that I have ever stooped to such shenanigans myself.....

That's a good question and I think there are two answers. If you asked my OH (who thinks I'm a tent geek and won't entertain even looking at this forum!) I think he'd think what nosey b*ggers and refuse but on the other hand, me, who by now is clearly obsessed with camping would feel as pleased as punch that you were so interested in my choice of tent!

Sadly I no longer have a baby to push around site in a pram or a dog to walk but of an evening I often go for a stroll around the campsite (very slowly!) with my son on his scooter having a darned good nosey at everyone's set up. So please if you see me wandering around can you all lower your windbreaks (for those who have them!) as I'm only just over 5 foot and they do spoil my view of your tent. Cheers!

I wouldn't be offended and would veen offer you a cuppa or a beer!! We tend to end up as the local youth club anyways what with our 5 inviting everyone in!!!

Last camp OH and I were amazed at how many Outwell Montanas there were.....looked like a housing estate!! NOthing against OUtwell as we have the Harfort XXL but never seen so many at our fav site.So we didn't get much tent bingo done....never mind!

We had a nosey at our neighbours tent when they were out!  We did however make sure that we spoke about the tent so if anyone was over hearing they new we weren't checking out their possessions!

Hoveber a chap from across the way did come over and asked whether our tent was a trailer tent - unfortunately its not just a canvas frame tent in a trailer, besides we wouldn't be on a tent pitch in Hillhead if we did have a trailer tent - we'd be on the pitches with electricity!
