lol, you've just been to Mere Farm have'nt you . The dad in the tent next to us could snore for england and then in the morning told me he hardly slept a wink due to going to the loo all night

Hi, Yes, I've never let snoring bother me before, always hear some in the distance but.....we were camped in Mid Wales for the last two nights of our holiday next to two very loud snorers, he started at approx 11pm till 5-6am with intermittant talking sounded like a donkey, she also snored but not as bad, then they woke early and talked loudly/belching etc. Had no consideration for other campers at all. An RAF  jet flew low above and that didn't stop him.

Another family next to us all woke and we could hear them and their kids talking saying they couldent get back to sleep etc, at least three famalies were awake.

When they arrived, they started arguing over how to erect their borrowed tent, so i helped to erect it for them, i got no thanks, when pegged & guyed they walked inside and busied inside, didn't speak to them again.

Later that night amid the snoring i layed there at 3am wanting to dismantle that tent on top of his head!

I nearly said something but didn't want their loo bucket throwing on my tent prior to leaving in the morning, because you dont know who you are dealing with.

At 6.50 he tuned his digital TV in!

Felt sorry for whoever went on our pitch, if staying for longer we would have forsaken the EHU and moved down the field. Still love camping.

I stick to my idea from the previous thread.

Lets start up snorer only campsites please then those who hate it and find it the most annoying noise ever can sleep and those who snore all night every night and find it funny cos "we cant help it" can have there own site to make as much noise as they like in LOL

lol well i have never heard snoring like that before, even me dog was pacing round the tent wondering wat the bloody hell was the noise lol never mind am going to get some ear plugs for me and dog and maybe try again hahahaha

ps who said they have been to mere farm we was thinking of there is it anygood?

Snoring is something people can't do to much about but i never realised how bad it could be until my mates and i went camping for four days on Berkley Estates , I am a heavy sleeper but was woken up by my mate in one of the other tents who was making an absolute racket while snoring away blissfully in his sleep , he was even having a conversation with himself during his sleep ....needless to say he woke up quite refreshed in the morning while the rest of us just sat around the breakfast fire(bleary eyed) staring at him and shaking our heads but laughing for the rest of the day........

That was us, just spent a week there and it was lovely. If you read the reviews they are true to form. Its a very rustic site with chickens,turkey's,geese roaming about it's almost like going back in time. Rob the owner/manager/cleaner/cook is a smashing bloke doing his bit to save the planet, so it's all recycle recycle recycle. There is only one shower for the gents and i'm told one for the ladies to ( 20p for 2 mins), the problem you have is if someone washes up whilst your in the shower the water pressure goe's (as i found out covered top to toe in soap). We left on saturday as the site was filling up for the bank holiday and it was getting busy in the showers/toilets/washing up areas but i guess thats the same every where.

we will definitly go again though.

 Hey Nick...I'd like to put that statement tothe test....And Jelboys now got a complex over his snoring...Maybe I should just cancel Pilaton.....Or pitch at the side of the M6 and walk to the site???....LOL!!!
