Another tip with a bar of soap is to run it down the inside of the crease in your trousers legs before pressing. The soap sticks the crease together so the trousers look smarter longer...not that many people have smartly creased trousers these days

Mucky washing up sinks really annoy me but what gets my goat more than anything is hair left in sinks and showers. I go to brush my teeth and someone has left thick strands of hair all around the basin or walk into a shower and there's a big clump of matted hair stuck to the wall - why can't people get rid of it, it makes me gag. I'm shuddering at the thought of it now

Have to say that I agree about some sites only having luke warm water - especially if the showers are busy when you go to wash up.
I am seriously thinking of taking some emergency disposable stuff for such sites,
Site we were on the other week tended to be like that. Also despite the toilet shower block being lovely and modern, there were no mops in the showers, so you couldn't give them a quick mop out afterwards.

I've noticed alot of the sites now have fixed shower heads which makes it harder to clean the shower after use. However I did discover you can get the water to run down the curtain and then aim that around the walls and corners of the shower tray to rinse it out for the next person.

I also hate the sinks that are full of hair or toothpaste. really no need, but what winds me up most is the parents that don't teach their kids to flush the toilet after them, no matter what they do in it.

Its all down to water surface tension. Soap breaks down the thin film on top of water.. thats why you should never get any kind of soap anywhere near your tent as it will break the surface tension on the water and will make the molecules much smaller allowing them to flow through the fabric.
Never let kids get anywhere near your tent with bubble blowing toys.
Sorry, slightly of topic but i thought you might like to know.
