To Answer your original question John, Yes you most probably will still be replacing equipment for better in the future. I have! for the last 15 years at least.

Next season im doing away with the airbeds and going for the self inflating mats. Im also thinking of retiring my coleman duel fuel for one of those new folding propane double hobs.   Im also seriously considering selling the Norfolk lake and downsizing.   I cannot be bothered with the hassle that putting up the NL takes anymore. My weekend in our Gelert Linea 6 has almost confirmed it - 10 minutes to setup (including guylines pegged down). Also a new car for next summer is most probably on the cards, but im not over enamoured with the Zafira, so im thinking of downsizing this a little too (not too much though). - And finally selling the roofbox and bars and replacing with a trailer.

It happens to us all John. Just part of this crazy obsession.

Im not 100% on this but from memory I think its a 250 Litre. Im not sure if it will be worth selling Tommy, as the front clamp has fallen off.   I'll certainly let you know when im getting rid of it. It more than likely wont be for a few months yet though as we have a couple more trips planned.

Just had to go have a look, could not remember..lol it is a 38L, so much bigger than yours, which of course means takes up more room

If you are interested will have a word with OH and see what he thinks, to be honest 38L it is too big for us, we only want an electric one for things like milk, marg etc oh and will need the cable to adapt it from 12.5 volts to a normal plug for the EHU.

we've spent this year replacing most of our stuff that was wearing out - funny though I didn't notice that they were so bad until we bought our 1st brand new tent (after camping for 16 years in 2 hand me downs from the parents) - airbeds, sleeping bags, stove, tables. crates, - then we bought a new weekend tent & decided we are having 2 lots of kit, big tent & kit in trailer in garage, w/e tent & kit under stairs cupboard so suitcase stoves, small tables, even small cooler bag (we don't EHU) - the only thing I bought this year that was a waste of money was a roll-up water carrier for the w/e set up, couldn't get on with it at all, ended up taking kettle to tap

my quest is to get optimum lighting not on EHU - our old frames tents used to have 3 flourescent lights running off leisure battery but the new tents don't have any internal framework - got UFO lights but not great for reading, was sold Gelert 20 led lamp but not sufficient, have now bought Coleman dual fuel gas mantle lantern & will try next w/e
