I love deciding what I would like, even if I have no intenion of buying. Even some things that I do not need/have similar/or would be totally useless for my needs go on my list.
I just picked it up today and like Rhond, haven't dared look yet.
Yesterday I realised that summer must be here as we had a delivery of camping things for our store - we are expecting snow again before the week is out but next sunday I shall have camping gear to sus out
Just been looking at the Regatta "only at Argos" range of tents. 17.5 kilogrammes for a 2-person dome tent? What are they made from - reinforced concrete?
I’ve noticed that their web site is now selling OS Explorer maps at £5.99 (not the cheapest you can find but possibly convenient).
I don’t know if they are in the catalogue, and on the web they are buried under “other camping accessories”.
The choice is limited to OL maps which look like the best sellers i.e. Lakes, Peak District, Yorkshire Moors etc, and they are all out of stock at the moment.
I hope they get the full range, but can’t see it happening.
sorry for cross posting, but worth a mention - just bought a Vacanza by Outwell Montreal 400 4 Person Tent reduced to £124 at Argos. I already have a fab Outwell Montana, but me and my 8 year old son would like to go on short camping trips, so this will be ideal for us. A slightly lower (2500mm) hydrostatic head, but given our needs, we would be fairweather camping. The rest is quality Outwell. A previous poster suggested the HSH should not be an issue. Trying the tent in a couple of weeks and will post a review. Great price. Hope i can get the existing kids room in to it too.
I bought the beach shelter (animal) from Argos got it for £5 at end of catalogue sale, was ideal for cooking in, especially as we had wind and rain, held up good kept the table with cooker up in it the whole time so it was weighed down well.
