A few years ago I thought it a nice idea to go for a drive to one of the lochs for a bbq and before long a convoy of us and several friends and all our children drove the 2 hours to the favoured loch. BBQ was ready before we discovered all the bbq food was left in a coolbag at home. Lunch consisted of buttered rolls, biscuits and crisps - we didn't even have drinks!

I packed the trailer once and himself didn't think I'd done it well enough. He repacked and it fitted much better. He drove home leaving me and four kids sitting on a useless pile of canvas while he went back to get the poles from the garage floor. AND he went with his brother for a week and left the awning poles in the conservatory and we both drove 150 miles each way to meet in the middle at a service station. Yes I bear a grudge,no he will never be allowed to forget either event.

We have forgotten the poles once for the drive away awning.

I like to take everything down to the car, check it off and then pack but OH just started loading the car and I dind'nt realise until we arrived. We had no choice but to go home again - serves him right!!!!
No surprise that packing the car is now my sole responsibility!!

Hi - I particularly like the last one - that really is an essential item to pack!

Helen - that was exactly the situation I was in. I've learned my lesson.
