Highbridge camping just down the M5 below Bristol have a large selection of TT's including second hand models. Well worth a trip.

We have looked at TT's over the years but have always stuck with a tent (well several...) and a trailer.   We find it easier to store everything in a trailer and then just add whatever tent we chose to take. We find we get more flexibility that way.

I'm not keen on TT beds, we're not worried about sleeping off the floor and find our Fat Airics more comfy than most beds. More importantly hubby is 6ft 2 and very few beds are long enough for him to be comfortable and I don't like the side by side sleeping arrangement.

I'm never convinced there is much benefit in a TT over a tent. If I could afford a folding camping then the decision might be different....

I don't think you can compare towing a trailer/TT with towing a caravan, it's totally different.

I had a TT and agree, very easy to tow. Me and DH mastered putting the cabin up and zipping on the awning, which made it cavenous inside.

However, we sold it because I could not erect it on my own, and DH does not like camping like I do, so it wtas only used once a year.

I think TT are great if you camp regularly, and for more than a couple of nights at a time. But each to their own, and by contrast, friends of mine have a large tent, and tow it in a small trailer, so they can fit their kit in the car.

i had a trailer tent but i found it time consuming and quite difficult when i put it up,i also had a blow out while i was on the M27(that was scarey)
i would'nt have another one,but that was my experence i guess its a matter of personal prefference really.
good luck in what ever you decide to do.
