we use a suitcase burner for the first cuppa of the day and biccies.

I take that much electrical equipment if i started using a kettle too i would probably brown out the site!

WE have our travel kettle sitting in the tent beside the fridge, so the milk is handy as well. I have to say we only camp in France or Spain so the tent door is open nearly allday so condensation is no problem. Remember if you want to use a kettle in Europe most sites only supply 6 amps so a low wattage kettle is essential. Ours has to be refilled about four times to cope with breakfast demand.

I am better with crockery that bounces, both at home and camping!

I didn't fancy lugging a mug accross the country last time we went camping so I bought one for about 10p in a charity shop when we got there, the morning cuppa just isn't the same when it's drunk out of plastic.

  Urgh, tried melamine, but sorry it makes tea taste funny.  Pot mugs for us, just wrapped up in a teatowel in the kitchen box.  Have melamine plates and bowls no problem though.
