I think you should go camping whatever the weather. When you have put a tent up in the rain and wind it cant get any worse (weather wise) than that lol. Also you always make your own fun whatever the weather.

Well we're off to Llyn Gwynant in Snowdonia.  Forecast is a mixture of heavy rain, showers, sunshine, windy and possible thunderstorms!!!  I'll be happy as I'll be in my bell tent with my kids and bf who I haven't seen for 2 weeks (we live 100 miles apart) and quite like listening to rain (have bought a canopy/tarp thing!).  Only one new to me is the thunder - anything I should be thinking about with that??  Looking forward to the lack of phone signal lol!

If it was not for having 4 young children(all boys) that constantly argue, bicker and fight and the added stress of the 5 yo haviung Downs Syndrome which can bring lots of other behaviour/health issues we'd be a little more tempted, but Damp weather is really not good for him, or for us couped up inside our weekend tent on top of each other for eating etc.......our relatives also have 3 young ones 5,3 & 2 so really need the 'outdoor' experience, which beleive me wew could not have with our little one who has Down's.......TBH I would not be looking forward to going away stopping in a hotel either with the rain as it just makes everything so much more miserable & expensive!

We've had a few very wet summers & still had great times, but for a weekend i'd really rather, us the tent & the kids stay healthy & dry!

We have postponed and will go when we have a good forecast
