You got a Norfolk Lake of course people will want to talk to you! I am on pitch 17 with a Montana and at 50 years old have never done a meet or rally (ginganggooly thing). I will talk to anybody, once. be great if Val comes along cause we all want to get in that bell tent. If woofers comes too we can all cram into his trailer for a dance.
Ah, but if we come to Pillaton we'll be coming in a bell tent which I am absolutely- definitely-no-doubt buying as soon as I have enough pennies... even more so having seen Val's piccies. So that's a plan - I will 'buy' friendship by letting everyone look at my tent! Sadly though, I'm pretty sure ours won't be as beautifully decked out as Val's, and certainly not as tidy!
Ooh, that does sound a bit intimidating, being the only tent. I want to meet other people in tents, not be surrounded by caravans! And sofa, I'm not surprised that put you off. Hmm, maybe I'll leave it for now.
But the idea of coming to a UK campsite meet sounds ideal, and particularly Pillaton sounds great!!! And nearby too! I think I'll talk to DH about booking up for that - as long as someone promises to talk to me :)
Thanks guys!
My OH says the problem will be trying to get away from people wanting to talk to you ........... I have no idea what he means, or who he means - must be jo and Gill and Bob and Pauline and Angela and that pesky Jelboy and ADL and, and, and ...............
A bell tent Ooooooo you won't get rid of some - they'll turn into squatters
------------- Think this year is to follow old meet friends for 2014.
If you cant do someone a good turn, don`t do them a bad one,its nice to be nice you know, and little things mean much more later in life.
Pete.
I am going to my first meet this weekend, at Arrowe Brook farm on the Wirral. It's being held a a certified site so there are toilets, showers etc. We were told just to turn up and that we could stay as long or as short as we liked (probably short looking at the weather!). I'll let you know what it was like!
