yes there was plenty of room with the inner. there wouldve been enough room for OH and the other 2 kids even with the travel cot. i think not having designated 'beds' makes it a lot easier! (apart from the cot of course!)
i have 5 kids, and had this in mind when i bought the tent, the inner makes it a bit more comfy at night, and hides the rubbish during the day!!!

Well I do agree with the polyester, price over practicality, but Bell tents went out before the advent of Poly, The reason was Ridge and Frame are the better design.
