Hi, we returned from Warren Farm last week, depending upon the field you are in (11+ I think) some of them are sheltered by bushes,so if its windy this week you may be lucky.
The non-electric camping field has some shelter to, get there early to get best spot. They said we could arrive as early as 9am!!
Fortunately, our first camping trip there was perfect weather. You'll have a fab time I'm sure and their are wardens on hand if you need them to help in every field. Just ask at reception, they are more than willing to help.
I just completed a review about warren farm if you haven't checked it out yet. We are defo going back.
Thanks just read the review, sounds like we picked the right site. We are booked in to field 11.. unfortunately cant arrive early because my OH is working in the morning so we will be arriving around 3ish..
I will add duct/duck (whatever!) tape to my endless packing list...dont have spare poles but I have just discovered that my OH's mum and stepdad are coming down on saturday and they have a 2 bedroom tent, so if all else fails we will be in there!
Thanks for all the advice... beginning to look forward to it now.. as well as stressed at trying to remember what to pack!

...guess we will just have to use ALL the guy ropes.
You should ALWAYS use all of the guy ropes...they cost manufacturers money to put on, they put them on for the fun of it
I'd take a note of two retailers close to where you'll be Highbridge Camping and Taunton Leisure who have an outdoor display at Sanders Garden World also at Highbridge. If your tent fails you can get a replacement at either of these places.
I'd recommend both those places too, Highbridge camping particularly. They're where I go most of the time.

2011 So far...
April - 2 nights in Easter Hols in Haven, Burnham (down the road).
Taking my sister and family for a trial camp locally 20th May
GLASTONBURY!! And *no* kids this year!! (Working: secure camping too!)
Chy Carne July/Aug 2011...
We bought our Outwell Norfolk Lake at Highbridge... cheapest we could find on the Internet!
As said earlier, do use all the guys and try to get some decent pegs. Rock pegs are the best as they'll go into anything (or stainless deltas if money is no object). Also remember to check the tension on the guys morning and evening.
