What I would recommend is a loo or bucket with lid as I would send myself round the twist should I leave them on their own whilst I nip to the loo or do I wake them and where what do I do with them whilst having a wee?

Simplest things cause so much hassle well for me anyway

I am thinking about taking his pram because it will be familiar and cosy.

 Not at all, the fresh air and atmosphere is good for any child, and as a bonus for you, you will probably find that they will sleep that much better.
