dunelm have fleece throws 200 by 140 for £2.99 they aint that thick but i bought a few to throw on sig or under airbed and poundland i notice had pet fleece blankets that seemed useable for underneath .don't know how much they were though ;-)

Try using laminate floor underlay under your mats/airbeds works a bloomin treat and folds so thin takes up no space at all
