At Corfe Castle last month, I woke up early and one of the dogs was missing. He was in the sleeping pod when I went to bed, but he'd completely disappeared - couldn't find him anywhere and there was no response when I called his name.
I was utterly mystified, as both pod doors were securely zipped closed with the tags up high and out of dog reach and there was no sign of any damage. I'm a very light sleeper, but really thought someone must have come and stolen him in the night.
I hurriedly got into my clothes, called Madame Lola, who was still snoozing on the airbed (she is a VERY lazy dog in the mornings) and as she was stirring her stumps I saw a furry head appear from between the airbed and the pod wall. The silly beggar had fallen off the bed in the night and got wedged down the side.
