You do have to keep an eye on what prices GO are usually selling things for  - and in the past.  A couple of years ago we got the HiGear beach shelter for about £9 (I think it was 'on offer' from £12 rrp), it's now £18 down from £20...

I think it was the same with our CampingGaz stove + grill, these are now about £20 more than when we bought ours.  Other things I am sure will be a lot cheaper now than they were then!

hiyas, i have found that sometimes when Go Out have sales that even though the web site says X out of stock ...that a trip to the actual store shows that thay have a load instock ...so maybe still go & see if they have what you want or even phone them. Good luck.

Went to the Clydebank one today and bought a windbreak.

The dogs were so impressed with the place, one of them was sick on the carpet.

We don't take any notice of them declaring the start of a SALE any more. Last year we went to the Bristol store & almost everything in the sale was out of stock. They tempt everyone to the store & hope they'll still spend although the goods they wanted isn't available for them. Sadly they lost out with us, we only go there when there's nothing else to do.

I must say, when we visited the Clydebank Shop when it first opened, all the Sale Goods were up front and on plain view.

Now these goods tend to be at the back of the displays or on shelves high up and out of eye height.

We were after a windbreak and we had to ask two assistants for help to find them. Indeed one went off to hunt for them and has not been seen since. That was 3 days ago.

We got what we wanted in the end but it was a bit of a put off and the "Mega Sale" was not all that Mega compared to other camping accessory shops.

Maybe Go Outdoors have shot their bolt on the cut price war.
