We use Vango cargo bags/holdalls with a C shaped zip so the whole top opens - one each with colour coded labels so we can instantly tell whose is whose. Smalls etc in end pockets and the rest in themed piles within the main section. We may combine into 2 bags for a quick weekend trip. Dirties go into plastic bags. Seems to work perfectly for us and as they are sturdy (designed for expeditions) but soft sided they fit nicely into the packing scheme.
