We got back from France last night and hubby had to investigate cost of new key as I managed to lose the spare key on a beach. Not a happy bunny at being quoted £180!! This was the first time I had bothered taking the spare - just in case. Oops.

a £2 carabiner that clips on your belt loop saves a lot of aggro. and yes 2 sets of keys go with us and are kept apart. having locked a set of keys in a car with the engine running and the spare set in a daysack on the backseat you only do it once ;)

Hehehe - left the keys in the inside pocket of the tent at Knight Stainforth last year. As is always the case there it was persisting it down on packing up day so everything was drenched (including me!) by the time I'd unloaded the boot, crawled inside a flat and very wet tent and then reloaded again. Definitely something you only do once!

I realised i'd lost the spare set of keys after packing up and driving to the races before heading home. Retraced steps and found them, by the dodgems! Luck was definately on our side that day.
