I just bought the handiholdall.
Tried it the other week when it rained as we were packing.
I also got the two holdalls, pleased I did as, after nearly an hours drive in the rain the bag had let water in, each side, I guess through the zip, the holdalls showed water signs down the front side, however everything inside seemed dry.
These bags work best when packed to capacity and have to say it took a little effort to get packed and zipped up, I put the holdalls on the roof bag on the roof fully packed and it was a bit of a task to zip up, you have to keep pulling the bag up around the holdalls but eventually I did it and the bag had it's shape, strapped down and was fine.
I was a litt,le disappointed it had let water. In although with the holdalls stuff wasnt wet and as insaid I guess it was the zips, it might be that with the strapping down the zips were facing the worst of the weather?
Overall though as long asnyou take precautions it's a good solution as it packs down ton a sleeping bag size.

I've got a handiholdall too and used it for the first time this weekend..it was fab. I got a free duffel with it (handi something or other) which I didn't use mainy because it seems to be much bigger then the holdall itself.
Apparently (according to the website) two of these bags will fill the holdall, but I can't even see how one would fit...it appears to be too long.
If anyone has a pic of one, or two, of these in the holdall I'd be glad to see it.
There is a picture on there website with the 2 bags in the holdall
Had anybody tried the Caropy Roof Sack? These are ment to be waterproof

Hi, hav a look at A1 motor stores, they have a handirack+holdall which is huge, the holdall clips onto the mainbag & comes with a seperate matching waterproof cover which clips onto the bars,i packed all the clothes for a week for 4 people in the holdall & put chairs, canopy, windbreak, table, box of food etc in with ease. I put mine on my camp-let bars which enables me to pack it with ease, it is totally waterproof as the zips are covered with a rain-guard which velcros down over the zips, used it in rain & proved to be waterproof and at £40 i cant complain, got it to replace roof-box as I have to stand on the inside of car to reach up which is a pain! folds away easy as well
