I don't have enough room to lay my weather master out completely flat inside so it's either hung out on the line for a day if it's dry or if it's raining I just unfold as much as I can inside and it usually dries out in a night and a day with a few rotations. I've never had the need to put the heating on to dry it although I guess that would speed up the process.
If the tent was dry everywhere apart from under the groundsheet just dry the groundsheet with an old towel when you are folding the tent up. If you arnt using a footprint you will find that around 80% of the time it will still be wet under the groundsheet.
our tent has been drying out for the past 3 days now and it's still only partially dry...the only available space we have to dry it in is a 6 foot by 3 foot area of floor to the side of our gym equipment in what used to be our dining room...we experienced 3 days of torrential rain at the end of our last holiday so had to pack up the Monty with a small lake inside it...we have the front door propped open with a cheap clothes drying rack and a fan blowing air into it...it's slow going, but we're gradually drying it out bit by bit...it's going to take a while tho...
every time we rearrange it, it dumps another load of water out of the SIG and onto the carpet, but it's a small price to pay for a non-mildewed tent...

Got back from a fortnight in Wales on Sunday and it rained constantly for last 36hrs so we rolled the tent up in it's various parts (Vermont XL but took internal sections out so they stayed dry) and dumped in boot in black bin bags. Layed it out in garage when home and then thankfully the sun shone the next day and the neighbour kindly let us pitch it in their garden for the day to dry it out. At the start of the day the guys were dripping wet but 5 hrs later all packed up for storing.
Any kind neighbours with a bigger garden then you?
we were camping in Wales too familyfitz...the rain that hit you must have hit us too...it started on Friday afternoon, bucketed down day and night all weekend and was still going as we were packing up on Monday...!!

Just a thought but has anyone thought of using a dehumidifier? The amount of water they draw out of the air I am sure they would dry out a tent in no time
Just thought I would offer a bit of a tip, after thinking our Vango Icarus 500 was bone dry the other week I packed it away after a day or two hanging up in the garage, of course the main nylon was ok but when we pitched it again last weekend I dicovered the T.B.S straps where still a little damp and the dreaded mildew was starting to appear, if we had left it any longer they would have been horrid.
Heres hoping for some nice weather for Sat 30th for our trip to brilliant Abersoch.
