My plans for coming back to a nice tidy house went wrong on Tuesday - kittens in the vet for speying.  Brought them home, only to have one die in my arms.  Hence two broken hearted kids. Oh Speedcamp that sounds dreadful!  We've come home a couple of times to find the cats had a bird inside thats poo'd and wee'd all over the place in terror before my horrible cat had finished off.  I can't imagine how bad it would be over a week, but I will be making sure the cat can't get out of the kitchen while we're away- just in case!!

So sorry for you and your children Camping Nutcase, we nearly lost our dog when she was speyed and the worst thing was having to tell my kids that she might not be coming home.  So definitly sod the house work and just give the kids lots and lots of cuddles (and ice cream).

Well cleaning is going well as weather has been brilliant today so I chucked the kids out into the garden where they merrily made mud pies and watered lots of things.

Meanwhile I've cleaned, hovered, washed clothes and dishes til my house sparkles (well except for the bits the kids covered in mud pies!!).

Just 3 sleeps to go!!!!!
