Thanks, i looked online and our local camping shop sells them for 80p each, and claims to have all of their outdoor showroom tents pegged down with these - so we shall pop in and get some next time we go by. Off for our first camp this afternoon so will have to make do with a million steel ones for now. Had quite a bit of rain over the last couple of days so hoping the ground will be nice and soft! xx

The pegs you have already bought are absolutely fine egbert, they are the same as rock pegs, just the top different, they have same top as usual tent pegs.

They are 0.6mm thick, and will exact same job as rock pegs,

I use them and absolutely none have even bent, not even slightly, and i have used them in some really hard ground
