I subscribed a few months ago when the gift was a vango nightstar sleeping bag. Not used it yet but it seems very thick and very warm. I didnt really need a sleeping bag but being a Vango, I thought it would be a good quality bag and being worth £27ish, I thought bargain as I would buy the magazine anyway. However, the month after they were giving an outwell notebook BBQ which I really wanted so I was gutted that I missed out on something that I really needed. Still, I bought a folding BBQ at asda for £15 so the money saved has paid off. I find its better to subscibe because I cant always get to the 'special' shop that sells the magazine. Its not always available in local shops unless I go to the camping shops for it-bit pointless just to buy a magazine.

We have just come across this magazine and found it to be very informative and a refreshing change from the Caravan and Camping one. A lot more informative and friendly approach. Have subscribed to it (free Crocs) and look forward to recieving the next edition.
Couldn't find Camping in the shops anywhere so thought I would subscribe. Was dead chuffed today to find the free gift with a direct debit subscription is a gas lantern worth £20 which we were going to buy anyway.
We subscribed and always receive our mag on time and we usually find it an interesting read. We have a caravan but still consider ourselves 'campers' - don't understand the mindset that says those in Motorhomes or Caravans aren't campers! We're usually in the same field, sharing the same facilities and views, enjoying a beer or two outside along with a yummy BBQ. Camping magazine gives us all a good overview of different sites enabling us all to make a considered decisions as to which to go to dependant upon our varying likes and dislikes. We will definitely be continuing our subscription.
