I think that's a fab idea! I want to turn my conservatory into a bedouin tent now - for me!!!! I've read recently that these camping sleepovers are the new birthday craze and wondered whether my son would like one when he starts having parties.... but the fact that his birthday is in November hadn't occurred to me.... so this is a great thread!

I always seem to want to do something that has become popular without me realising..... perhaps I'm a natural trendsetter!  (People who know me would laugh at that)

Pink tent ordered, now on a search for battery fairy lights - I expect I've missed all the late summer offers on the solar ones.....

As teh shops are beginning to put out Christmas stuff you should be able to pick up some battery operated fairy lights fairly easily.

Poundland always seem to have some (The designs vary on the seasons, I got some lovely heart ones for Valentines Day).
As they wont be able to toast marshmallows maybe you could do a chocolate fondue so they can dip them instead.

My girls have had many a indoor tent and camping themed bday party or sleepover. we even indoor camp when the festivals are on so we can watch on tv or listen on radio as too pricey ...and soggy!...to go for real! i just use the tescos 4 man pole tents...perfect!hope she has a fab time :-)

It always rains on tents. Rainstorms will travel thousands of miles, against prevailing winds for the opportunity to rain on a tent.

Just realised that the weekend we have planned to do the 'camping' is when the Take That Tour DVD is due to arrive!!  If it arrives in time, we can use the data projector to screen it on a wall and re-live the concert. (Well I'll be doing that and the kids can join in if they want - my 2 did go to TT and loved it).  Not quite a music festival, but its a start... and could add to the fun of the weekend. 

Sorry, bit off topic but when you mentioned music festival it made me think.
