I used to fly/camp in the 70's at a place called Platja Brava (I think ) in Majorca. Also fly/camped in Ibiza.  That was before all restrictions came in. But used to take very  lge ridge tent, with sleeping bag few pots and pans small folding stove,

Used to smuggle pool side lounger into tent put sleeping bag on top and arrange all clothes underneath in neat piles. by the time i would be leaving there would also be a selection of plastic table and chairs, bar glasses, coffee cups etc. very comfy camping :-)

We have decided that it would definately be worth trying to fly to Jersey with our tent, sleeping bags, pillows, airbeds and EHU lead and then hiring or buying the rest of the gear we would need once we get there.

We could have a week in our own tent in beautiful Jersey for about £600!!

Gaynor - if you're still following this thread, are there any camping shops on the island??!!
