Ah, no, that's not the one I was thinking about but that looks like a lovely site! And I like the fact it sounds as though we wouldn't always need to use the car with a 10 minute walk to town and a 5 minute walk to a bus stop. Will have to keep that in mind for later in the year! Thanks Gally.
Booked my summer hols on the Argyll coast last week..
Other bookings will depend on my off shift roster at work and my transport situation, and will be "spur of the moment" sort of stuff. Will deffo try and get off a few more times this year...And find myself really looking forward to being out in the middle of nowhere somewhere.
Find myself mentally checking over my gear, seeing if it needs a wee tweaking, adding to,or subtracting from...Know what I'd like to do...Add to....But there is only so much space in the tent...Suppose I could fill the tent, and sleep outside under a tarp....
Jelboy.

I hav'nt booked my summer camping trip as yet. My sister wants to visit in the hols so I don't know when. It's the case of; do I work around my sister or book and let her work around my dates?
Definitely book and let her work around your dates!!!!
We'll also be doing most of our trips as last minute things I think, we have the two booked already, but will probably just fit in other trips as and when we can now. What I'm really looking forward to is.... you know that feeling when you wake up and you go into the front of your tent, and you open the door and you're outside and you can smell the grass and hear the birds and it's peaceful..... well... that....
We're doing more touring this yr I think. Bought the vango icarus 500 for this reason as the colorado is just too big for a couple of nights here and there. Prob be over in Ullapool next month for a weekend. North Highlands in May. July is the only one we really worked out. Linwater camp in Edinburgh for a few days. taking in the zoo and Roslyn chapel ( 200 mile ), Then down to Blue Dolphin for a few days ( another 200 mile ) then over to see parents in the North west before heading up the nw coast probably staying at Oban/ Fort William area before heading back to the Highland Home. Another 1200 mile trip. Why do I do it ..........
------------- September 27th. I'm going away. Don't care where. Just going!!!!
I had freinds who used to go camping on a train with their stuff in pull along shopping trollys after several visits to the same campsite the owners gave them a small lock up shed where they could store their camping stuff so didnt have to lug it along with them every visit, now thats what i call a very frendly site
this yr already i have not shut up about camping, bought new tent new stoves and new double air bed already. first trip is to the lakes in april and a lot more to follow that.
