Double campbed or two singles is my dilemma now! Could they be tied together? Was thinking that if we got two singles we could use them outside the tent to lie on in the sun!

Would the Parabolic Heater be as good s a 2kw fan heater?

Looks like i'll need to get the quick release connector via ebay as none of the shops local to me have one.

Also with reference to the generator. I don't like the idea of it too much myself. We'd need it mostly in the morning and evening time to when most people want quiet. Plus it can't generate enough electricity to run a fan heater anyway.

We've never had much luck with airbeds.  We find self-inflating mats to be just as good.  Before our next trip I intend to treat myself to a large, thick Fat Airic (or whatever they're called now).  Can't wait!

I'm also a wet blanket - I spent two nights next to one!  Quite apart from the noise, this one one smelt too!

Hi, we have two single camp beds. I suppose you could strap them together but you would have two steel bars down the middle which would be very uncomfortable. Good point someone made about the height, check the slope on your tent pods as this may be an issue.

Rubber airbeds are still sold in Argos, or they were last season. We have a few and they are definitely the most reliable.

The parabolic heater isnt as good as a fan heater but they do give off a good amount of heat. They dont take up much room in the car either.

Anybody with campbeds use self inflating mats as well or is it not worth bothering?

Also going to order a parabolic heater.

We use the campbeds on their own and they are fine so I wouldnt bother. Personally I would try them out first and see how you get on then if you feel like you need an extra layer of comfort you can invest in some cheap SIMS.

Can't stand camp beds. I find them hard and unforgiving!! Last used about three years ago and I still remember the pain in my hip! Maybe as others have said I should have used a self inflating mat on top but as space is a real premium in our car we need to pack light. We've had the coleman double for a long while now and have never had a problem.
