The footprint on our Glendale 5 is currently drying on the washing line, whilst the tent itself hangs over the bannister.

We finally packed our tent away after 2 days of drying out spread across the dining room - it took up the entire room and some! No space to fold it up so now won't fit back in its bag!

With our Oakland xl I usually part erect it in the spare room but use the extention poles instead of the steel ones I then put a fan inside and leave it on all day, this dries it all out pretty quickly.
Makes the spare room unusable though

Ooh, this thread has made me feel a lot better - I've just packed away my Birdland 4 after a soaking at the weekend. It had been draped around my living room, with no room to move - had a right carry on keeping kitty claws off it!

I thought I was being a bit weird drying it in the house, but every time I laid it outside the rain came down again, so gave up and dragged it inside.

Hi, I hope you don't mind, this is a message for SunnyDay Camper - I hope you see this. I have seen your photos on the review of the Tennessee 5 and just wanted to ask you a question. We have just taken our Tennessee 5 away for the first time at Easter. It is a brilliant tent and we loved it. The only thing we found was that because of the sloping front door - when you have a lot of rain (which we did at Easter in Dorset!) all the water that is on the door runs down it and into the tent when you unzip it and it is hanging straight down, also because of the sloping door you have to walk quite a long way inside the tent when you open the door, just to get inside. Hence we consistetly ended up with muddy puddles in the kitchen which I had to keep mopping up. In one of your photos you have a sort of shelter coming out from the from the front of the tent and I just wondered whether it is an Outwell tarp? and did it keep the front door dry enabling you to get in without soaking the inside? - Thanks for your help - as they don't make an extension/awning for it, I'm trying to come up with some sort of solution and it looks like you have found one. Also I can't find an Outwell Mocca tarp for love nor money! But I thought I'd check whether that was what it was - It looks a really neat solution. Thanks for your help - I'll look forward to hearing back from you.

Any day I'm not in my tent is a day wasted.

Ours is still up in the garden, and at this rate it'll be there well into next week. It was dry yesterday, but as we got outside the heavens opened again, so its still there!
