I reckon dirty clothes take up more room than clean ones. Even if I fold them neatly, they don't seem to fit as well as when they were clean.

When I take my son we fit it all in the boot. If hubby comes as well we cram the boot and the roof box to the rafters. How does one extra person create so much extra stuff?

<<2 adults and 2 kids aged 3 & 7, when we started off our camping career we had a Seat Leon, it was full but everything went in, then we got a roof box so it wasn't as tight in the car, guess what, it was. Fuel prices went up so I had to change the car for something diesel so I thought get an estate and kill 2 birds with one stone...Bought a Xsara estate and, nope, still jam packed. Xsara wasn't reliable so I bought a slightly bigger Mondeo estate, yes you guessed it still loaded up to the hilt...When will it end??

If it's any consolation, we used to fit all we needed into a Vauxhall Vectra hatch. A few years ago I bought a VW Transporter to convert into a camper, still not converted as I'm not sure I'll be able to fit everything in. 2 adults and 1 (rather large) dog.
