Well, I've just bought a used tent from Tentsparesman and pitched it (albeit indoors!) and it's in fantastic condition, looks unused, obviously the test will come when I pitch it outdoors in the wonderful summer weather we have in this country!
Thanks for this, just waiting for my used Maritsa 600 to arrive from tentsparesman and hope i'm as lucky as the rest of you and its a keeper. Will be fun finding somewhere to test pitch it if the weather takes a turn for the worst, trying desperately to think of somewhere indoors I could use!
Well my tent is here - marked on label as excellent condition grade A. Have managed to check bag contents and all poles and bedrooms are in so now just need a day to get it up and checked over. Stupidly excited waiting for weekend now!
I couldn't wait until I had a chance to pitch mine after buying it. Sure you will be pleased with your purchase.
Going from feedback etc, tentsparesman's tents are usually good.
I saw these yesterday before they ended. Surprised nobody with £250 available snapped these up. Though obviously a risk not knowing what is wrong with them. But sure someone would get their £250 back from any reselling.
Hi gear corado 6 from Alchemistic for £61.Checked it the weekend and tent had been packed away wet.Discovered two of the curved roof poles missing.Cleaned all mildew windows with milton solution and the other bad bits.Came up a treat.Got in touch about poles and they confirmed yesteday if it was the definate roof ones missing. So i expect some in the post. Will re post when i know more
As has been said before with "Alchemist" on Ebay it really is pot luck what you actually get.
A friend of ours bought a "leaking needs reproofing" tent from them last year, put it up in the garden all ok, gave it a going over with a hose still ok. Went away in it for a long weekend on the second day it started raining quite heavily and after about an hour the tent started leaking badly through one of the roof panels, not at the seams, so this really was a tent that was "leaking needs reproofing"
I'm was looking at "Alchemist" and if your prepared do do a bit of work such as cleaning and reproofing or a bit of repair work then it a great way to get a tent at a fraction of the price
but you need to take into account what you think you need to spend on the tent to get it up and running. From what I've read on here if there is a major problem that wasn't identified in the listing then "Alchemist" appear to help sort out the problem or will refund the money.
to me if your willing to take a chance and are prepared to put a bit of work in then it is a no brainer. Saying that I've not got lots of spare cash and I'm willing to do some jobs on a tent but if you want a tent that you can instantly use then maybe there are other options
Very happy with the service from Tentsparesman, asked for it to be delivered on a specific day and they were very helpful and rang me up to say when it would be dispatched to make sure it would land that day. Roll on weekend.
Also bought the Vango family canopy thing to go with tent from nearlynewtents - superfast delivery from them and very happy with item (this was new in bag though), its huge and covers my dining room floor still folded in half!
Can't wait to try my new set up and hopefully my existing carpet should fit ok too
